Julie has experience in staffing and recruitment and brings real world knowledge of the current job market. She has shadowed in the classroom and is very excited to join our team at HRLA where she can use her specialized skills to help our students. She has served as a Student Ministry Leader at Crosspoint Church in Brooksville for many years working with teens. Julie will be an excellent addition to our Hope for Tomorrow teaching staff.
Julie brings experience as a Staff Recruiter with Spherion in the areas of recruiting, prescreening, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires. She has experience analyzing skills assessments and the placement of candidates in appropriate job settings. Julie has also done candidate job coaching and preparation for interviews as well as assisting in resume writing.
On the other side of the employment spectrum, she has also had the unfortunate experience of releasing employees from assignments and redeploying those who were in good standing. She will be excellent at sharing real world scenarios that will get an employee fired and the character traits possessed by others qualified for redeployment due to a layoff.
She is knowledgeable with using various technology and software for recruiting such as: texting applications, job board management and posting such as Indeed and Staffing Connect, video platforms Google Meet/Zoom, calendar and schedule management. She is skilled in Microsoft: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Prior to working in staffing and recruitment Julie worked as an Interior Designer for 10 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design.
Accomplishments: Promoted from Recruiting Coordinator to Staffing Consultant after one year.
Completed advanced recruiter training in Atlanta Georgia and received Most Growth Reward.
Nominated and selected for the Hernando Chamber of Commerce: Leadership
Hernando Class of 2023 Spearheaded and initiated a Mental Health in the Workplace event for clients and community.
