Nyra Zaracho

Marketing & Fundraising Coordinator

I joined Hope Ranch Learning Academy with over 17 years’ experience of passionately working in education and nonprofit organizations. My professional pathway began as an Admissions Counselor at my alma mater, West Chester University. A few years later, I relocated to my native city and continued my role as an Admissions Counselor at Esperanza College of Eastern University, a non-profit organization that partners with a private university. I provided one-on-one admissions counseling to non-traditional applicants, first generation, at-risk youth, adult students and their families. Upon earning my master’s degree, I embarked on a new journey teaching Elementary level Spanish, Introduction to Sociology in Spanish, and Computer Literacy at Esperanza College.

During my following role, I served as a Post-Secondary Advisor at a neighborhood inner-city high school serving primarily students from low-income and first-generation households. I assisted students in assessing educational needs and post-secondary options, provided one-on-one and group advising in academic preparation, admissions, testing, financial aid, and career exploration. Additionally, I was committed to increasing parent participation by providing awareness, guidance and resources to encourage their involvement.

Prior to joining the HRLA team, I served as a School and Family Partnerships Associate with the Children’s Scholarship Fund. CSFP supports the advancement of education equity for under-resourced families by providing partial scholarships that offset the cost of K-8th tuition-based schools. My role there involved collaborating with families, schools, community partners, school administrators and leaders to build knowledge about CSFP’s scholarship program. I enthusiastically look forward to how the Lord will use me through my current position, serving Hope Ranch’s mission of helping children and families find hope.
